A Few Informative Film Story Lines To Go Over

For years now, the video store was the way to get movies. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. Let's look at what you might find to watch using a movie download site.

The Accidental Tourist: This movie tells the story of Macon Leary, who is listless after the death of his son. This is compounded further when his wife decides to leave him because he won't snap out of it. With a divorce pending he finds himself involved with a new woman, who is helping bring him back to life. Now his wife decides to have him back, and he is faced with more tough questions. William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Geena Davis, Amy Wright, and Bill Pullman star. (1988 Drama)

Bar Girls: Friendly if faulty romantic comedy with a twist: most of its chief characters are lesbians who assemble at L.A.'s Girl Bar. The core personality is compulsive, wryly ludicrous Loretta Wolfe, a female Woody Allen who desires an exact better half but not truly grasping what it means to genuinely and entirely love another person. The film's shortcomings are made up for by witty discussion and believable characters. Cast includes Nancy Allison Wolfe, Liza D'Agostino, Camila Griggs, Justine Slater, Lisa Parker, and Pam Raines. The Prince and the Showgirl: Fairly good but slow moving comedy of saucy American show gal Monroe being courted by Prince Regent of Carpathia (Olivier) throughout the'11 coronation of George V. Filmed in England, with admirable performances by Monroe and Olivier. Cast includes Laurence Olivier, Sybil Thorndike, Jeremy Spencer, and Richard Wattis. (117 minutes,'57)

The Last Shot: Amusing charade, empowered by a real tale, telling the story of an FBI man (Baldwin) who makes believe to produce a film so he can trap a mobster with ties to the Teamsters union. Baldwin starts to like his "role" as a movie producer, as he turns his idea into reality. Cast includes Matthew Broderick, Alec Baldwin, Toni Collette, Tony Shalhoub, Calista Flockhart, Tim Blake Nelson, Buck Henry, Ray Liotta, James Rebhorn, Jon Polito, and Pat Morita. (93 minutes, 2004)

No Name on the Bullet: A calm and cultured gunman rides into a little town to take somebody out. This film carries a simple and classic Western plot. Cast includes Audie Murphy, Charles Drake, Joan Evans, Virginia Grey, Warren Stevens, R. G. Armstrong, Willis Bouchey, Karl Swenson, Charles Watts, and Jerry Paris. (77 minutes,'59)

Peter Pan Return To Neverland: An animated family film of a Peter Pan adventure. Wendy's daughter Jane is an unbeliever. When Captain Hook steals her away to Neverland, she must learn to believe if she wants to escape back to the real world.

Infinity: Sugary however choppy film based on the life of Richard Feynman, whose relation with Arline Arquette in pre-WW2. N.Y.C. takes a fateful turn when he is enlisted to work on the Manhattan Project. The scientist won the Nobel Prize in'65. Cast includes Matthew Broderick, Patricia Arquette, Peter Riegert, Dori Brenner, and James LeGros. (117 minutes,'96)

The Lost City: Heartfelt try to bring the Guillermo Cabrera children's fable of the'50s Cuban rebellion to life through the tale of one family, a university professor and his 3 sons. One an apolitical cabaret owner, the others fighting for change. Cast includes Andy Garcia, Bill Murray, Tomas Milan, Dustin Hoffman, Danny Pino, and Champ Rivers. (138 minutes, 2006)

The Lost World; Jurassic Park: John Hammond has learned to bring dinosaurs back to life from their DNA. After an attempt at marketing viewing these dinosaurs goes terribly wrong, all the animals are killed and the island closed. The problem is that something has survived.
